The confluence of River Ganga with The Bay of Bengal. It is believed that taking a holy dip relieves us from the birth cycle. There is a saying that All Tirthas are one side and Ganga Sagar on the Other Side. One must take a dip in this Tirtha during the lifetime. The River Ganga merges with Sagar in Sunderban Islands.
Gangasagar Mela will be held every year on the day of Makara Sankranthi. Lakhs of devotees from all over the world reach this place for the holy dip. This Mela is celebrated for 5 days in which the first 3 days is meant for the bathing. The Kapil Muni Temple is located on the banks of the Sagar. The devotees used to offer Puja after taking bath. Ganga Devi temple is located on the shore.
During Mela, thousands of tents are set up for the stay. This is open for the bath on all days. Makara Sankranthi is the auspicious day for the dip.
Note:Pashupatinath Temple darshan timings are from 04:00 AM to 12:00 PM and again from 05:00 PM to 09:00 PM in the night. The temple stays closed from noon to 05:00 PM every day. Pashupatinath Temple Aarti timings are in the evening from 06:00 to 07:30 PM.

Lord Jagannath has been ill since June 4 at Shri Jagannath ISKCON Temple in Kamla Nagar. He is currently in resting posture and that is why the doors remain closed for the devotees. He does not give darshan to the devotees. During this, when he is sick, he is given fruit juice and light food. Along with this, offerings of herbs are offered to them in the form of medicine and this tradition has been going on for centuries.
Till June 18, Lord Jagannath's sister Subhadra and elder brother Balabhadra will be kept in the sanctum sanctorum. After a gap of 15 days, God will be completely healthy and after that he will go on city tour. For this, a grand ceremony is organized by Shri Jagannath ISKCON temple. On June 20, Lord Jagannath will leave for Nagar Darshan by riding on a chariot.
On the day of Snan Yatra, Lord Jagannath stands in the sun for the whole day and also takes a bath with cold water. So he gets sick. He gets fever. That's why he has been shifted to the sick room for treatment. Due to being ill, he is not given regular food. Instead, he gets fruits and water mixed with cottage cheese and Dasmool (herbal) medicines. No one except his personal servants and the Raj Vaidya (royal physician) could enter the sick room. He stays in Quarantine for 14 days, this is called Anasar Kaal.
